Shikar-Safari Club International supports wildlife conservation and is committed to educating the non-hunting public on how hunting is a key conservation tool to safeguard wildlife and their habitats through sound science and active management (North American Model of Wildlife Conservation). The Club was seeking a way to streamline their grants program and to maximize their available funds through a distribution process that would support nonprofit organizations with a focus on outdoor education, wildlife conservation, or preserving the hunting heritage worldwide.
In support of the Shikar Safari Club’s grantmaking needs, we worked collaboratively with the Shikar Safari Club Grants Chair to establish a comprehensive grant-making infrastructure for the Club’s grant-making project. Utilizing best practices in grant making, we created the general framework for making grants and a timeline for launching the grants program. We designed and developed all materials associated with the grants program including but not limited to:
- Grants program criteria
- Grant application
- Grant guidelines
- Grant score card/rubric
- Notification letters
- Grant terms and agreement form
- Grant reporting form
Working with Shikar-Safari Club International was a great way to show our support to organizations that give back to the community through grant-making and ensure that best practices in grantmaking are adhered to. Thanks for the opportunity, SSCI!
