Hill Country Crisis Council assists survivors of family violence, sexual assault and child abuse put the pieces of their lives back together by providing intervention, protection and justice in a five county region.
In early 2020, Hill Country Crisis Council’s Board decided it was at an important juncture and needed to look both inward and outward to explore their future possibilities. In order to meet ever-changing needs and demonstrate a commitment to its clients and the broader community, the Board needed to wrestle with questions like:
- How do we prepare operationally for aging facilities?
- How do we meet the demand for services?
- How do we market ourselves for continued growth?
- How do we secure the adequate resources to achieve our mission and vision?
Hill Country Crisis Council turned to the Cielo Strategy team to assist them in answering these questions through a comprehensive strategic planning process.
In partnership with Cielo Strategy, Hill Country Crisis Council focused on positioning themselves for future growth and better articulating their story to the broader community. A full strategic planning process includes focus groups, individual interviews, a materials review, multiple surveys to a variety of constituent groups, and planning meetings.
After listening, learning, and gathering data the Cielo Strategy team delivered a detailed three-year written plan to the Hill Country Crisis Council leadership and Board that includes strategic priorities, strategic goals and activities, an annual operational planning tool, and a dashboard to measure success.
