Rock Haus Foundation

Founded in 2017, the Rock Haus Foundation, a nonprofit organization in New Braunfels, Texas, was established to support individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families with resources and opportunities to achieve a life of fulfillment.

For six years, Rock Haus Foundation has provided enriching day programs for adults with IDD at the Hill Country Comal IDD Center. Activities bring music, art, movement, and socialization to improve overall well-being so adults with IDD can thrive in their daily lives.

In February of 2023, Rock Haus Foundation was deeded 5.2 acres of property by New Braunfels Independent School District (NBISD). This gift “fast-tracked” the organization’s growth as they jumped right into capital campaign planning and implementation. Renovations of the two existing buildings and the development of a multi-use campus will provide holistic services for individuals with IDD and a host of opportunities for service providers to collaborate and share resources.

The McKenna Foundation, a strong nonprofit partner across Comal County and a great referral source for Cielo Strategy Group, saw the potential in the Rock Haus Foundation board. McKenna Foundation made the introduction between Rock Haus Foundation and Cielo Strategy Group and the rest is history. We spent 9 months providing campaign readiness support and guidance to the Rock Haus Foundation team as they embarked on their most serendipitous capital campaign journey.

  • Building out a governance structure to support organizational growth.
  • Facilitating the Bylaws revisions process.
  • Writing gift acceptance policies.
  • Developing brand guidelines for the organization.
