Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA) is a nonprofit organization that creates brighter futures for children in crisis by promoting individual success and healthy relationships in a safe, healing environment, giving children and families the tools to end the cycle of abuse.
A strategic plan serves as a roadmap for an organization and a tool for assessing progress. The process affords an opportunity for the board and staff to reflect on past successes, dream about the future, and think critically about next steps for the organization. In partnership with staff leadership, the board plays an integral role in developing, approving, and supporting a strategic plan. RMYA turned to the Cielo Strategy Group team to assist them through a comprehensive strategic planning process that was fueled by a commitment to be financially solvent as an organization while also remaining dedicated to excellence.
This process included an extensive review of the organization, the facilitation of focus groups, individual interviews, a comprehensive materials review, multiple surveys to a variety of constituent groups, planning meetings, and in-depth discussions and work with the leadership team. After the process, RMYA successfully launched a three-year written plan that included a strategic goal, strategic priorities, objectives, and tactics. Additionally, they walked away with an annual operational planning tool, and a dashboard to measure success.
We are confident RMYA is well positioned to financially solvency with an eye on excellence!
